At the Earth Rangers Centre, energy and water usage is monitored through an extensive electrical, thermal, and water metering system provided by Schneider Electric.
In 2001, when Earth Rangers was planning for its new facility, the mandate its members gave to the engineers and architects was that they wanted a building with the lowest environmental impact possible, a building on the cutting edge of eco-friendliness.

Massive concrete ventilation tubes have produced remarkable results at a visitors centre in Woodbridge, Ontario, and recently new upgrades to the HVCA system have been made.
Last month, Earth Rangers was honoured as the fourth “Top Green-IT Organization” by Computer World Today. Out of nearly 100 applicants, Earth Rangers was one of 12 IT departments honoured for reducing power demands and using technology to create energy efficiencies.
