Reindeer populations have declined drastically in the past few decades. To stop the loses, the Wildlife Conservation Society and Earth Rangers have launched a campaign to protect the woodland caribou aka the ‘real’ reindeer.
David Ireland, managing director of biodiversity programs at the Royal Ontario Museum, discusses the launch of an educational initiative in collaboration with the Toronto Zoo, Parks Canada and Earth Rangers.
Representatives from the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs, along with eighty young Earth Rangers’ members, took part in a ceremonial tree planting at the Earth Rangers’ Centre to kick off their partnership with Just Energy.
