School year kicks off with a special message from Justin Trudeau

The 2016/17 school year is off to a great start with our first ever visit to all of the elementary schools in Iqaluit! As a special new addition to our School Assembly, students will hear a special message from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about the current government’s commitment to the environment, and the important role we all have to play in protecting our natural heritage.

2015 Annual Report

In 2015, we set the ambitious goal of expanding our programs to every Province and into the Territories — and we did it. We delivered our School Outreach Program to more than 800 schools across the country. We strengthened our conservation partnerships, completing 4 ambitious projects and launching 4 more to help Canadian species at risk. We reached a record number of members, over 100,000 children who are more engaged than ever. And we have our generous members and supporters to thank, who made it all possible.

The Government of Canada Invests in Conservation

Thanks to a new multi-year commitment by the federal government, Earth Rangers will expand our educational programming and connect more children and families with conservation.

A contribution of $1 million per year over three years makes it possible for Earth Rangers to widen the reach of our existing School Outreach Program in urban centres like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver; introduce this program in remote areas and communities we have not been able to visit before; and expand the program to more French-speaking communities in Atlantic Canada and Quebec.

Earth Rangers is dedicated to educating children and families about the importance of biodiversity and providing them with the opportunity to become directly involved in protecting animals and their habitats. Through our School Outreach Program, community shows, award-winning website and national television presence, we inspire hundreds of thousands of Canadians each year to take action to protect animals and preserve the environment. As we look to expand the Earth Rangers community to half a million members by 2017, we’re thrilled to be working with the Government of Canada to achieve this goal.
